Page 82, Write with the pen in your mouth
Easier said than done!!! After the first word it was starting to get uncomfortable. The whole thing, which reads “Hello, this is hard”, took several minutes to write. Plus I had a pen that was a hard plastic and kinda hurt my teeth.
Page 81, Glue in a page from a magazine. Circle words that you like.
Only magazine I had was a photography magazine. I really need a new camera since all I have is a point and shoot that I bought while I was in Korea several years ago.
I found a nice pair of legs too, although my picture doesn’t do them justice!
Page 78, Draw lines with your pen or pencil. Lick your finger and smear the lines.
The paper is so soft that the ink is wicked away before I can lift the pen off the paper. So I had to result to using a pencil.
Page 76, Create a nonstop line
Once I started the only thing that was going through my mind was “Tron”. The old computer game where you are riding a motorcycle that leaves behind a wall of light wherever you have been and the last person that doesn’t run into these walls wins. Then I remembered the rules here are open to interpretation.
Page 65, Trace your hand
Don’t think I have done this in years. You can also see that my wedding ring is a little too big for me. Wife says I’ll grow into it eventually.
Page 62, Close your eyes. Connect the dots from memory
I am actually impressed with myself on this one. After I was done, and before I opened my eyes again I decided to try and connect them in more than one way, which didn’t go so well once I realized I was drawing in the spine of the book.
Page 40, Rub here with dirt
Problem with California is that it never rains. The dirt is so dry that it doesn’t rub very well. Maybe I will find an opportunity to edit this page again in the future.
Page 26, Write one word over and over.
The intructions say “one word”, and I wrote “one word”. Although I wrote my wifes name in both Korean and English! Would have wrote my daughters name, but I think my wife will appreciate this more!
Page 23, Make a paper airplane
Not that I really needed the lines, but they could have at least put them in the right spot. If I did fold directly on the lines I would have had a square nose. The author of the book is a girl to, so I guess that’s how girls make airplanes… “just fold it, it’ll still fly”. Just like a ball of paper will fly!!!
Page 22, Tear out, Crumple.
I guess it only makes sense, but didn’t realize how much smaller a page is once you flatten it back out after it has been crumpled until I taped this page back into the book. About a 1/4 inch all around.
